An immersive theatrical dance, I’ll Meet You There
is a mythological biography about a magical, extraordinary place which if described would sound like fiction. Choreographer Jessica Roseman’s solo concert reveals hidden truths about a mother’s capacity to produce life and thrive in Paradise. By resourcing memory and invoking affirmations, the piece explores themes of parenting, ancestry, privacy, and liberation, as well as perimenopause, stillbirth, and Black maternal health.
Roseman’s score incorporates vocalizing, clowning, and asking the audience questions about their viewing experience. Comfortably relatable and at times humorous, Roseman generates an authentic relationship with the audience by revealing new worlds.
Performance Information
This performance takes place in Arrow Street Arts’ Studio.
All seats General Admission
All seating is accessible and located on the same level.
There are no steps or stairs to access the Studio.
Seating is provided in padded chairs without armrests
A limited number of cushions will be available for those wishing to sit on the floor in the front row.
Box office, concessions, and lobby seating areas open at 6:00 pm; performance seating will begin at 6:45 pm.
An Access Doula Kit will be available upon request.
