About the Fund

In partnership with the Cambridge Community Foundation, the Arrow Street Arts Fund provides local artistic producers with subsidized use of ASA’s venues. In particular, the Fund aims to lessen the gap between the needs of artists and the availability of performance spaces and support artists from historically underserved groups and diverse backgrounds. CCF Partners with ASA

Elegibility

Fund applicants are required to complete ASA’s rental process and must be approved for use of the ASA space before they are eligible to apply to the Arrow Street Arts Fund. If approved to use the venue, organizations must then apply to the fund through the Cambridge Community Foundation.

The ASA Fund accepts applications from organizations and artists with designation as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity or with fiscal sponsorship by an entity with such a designation.

Timeline

Fall Cycle Dates:

  • Application Opens: September

  • Application Deadline: October

  • Grant Notifications: November 5

NOTE: Proposed programs/events must take place within 18 months of the decision date. If your event start date is over 18 months away, please wait and apply to a future cycle closer to your event.

Arrow Street Arts will review your application, and if approved you will be advised to apply to Cambridge Community Foundation for the actual grant.

Available Spaces

The newly renovated, multi-use venue at 2 Arrow Street is available to smaller performing arts organizations and artists in need of space that can accommodate audiences ranging from 150 to 600 people.  

ASA’s MainStage, Studio, Lobby Rotunda (and supporting spaces) will be available to use under this program. With comprehensive, sound, and production capacities, ASA’s facility offers both venue and production services that will help meet community and artists’ needs.

Use of Grant

Approved grants may only be used to subsidize the cost of rental space at Arrow Street Arts’. Please note that approved grants may or may not cover the full cost.
